As every year, we were all really looking forward to it: the annual Shock Media BBQ with family. Last Saturday, it was finally time. The weather was on our side: dry with a little bit of sunshine now and then. The perfect weather for a delicious BBQ.

The atmosphere was great right from the start. With a drink in hand, colleagues enjoyed chatting with each other. Our partners (significant others) and children got the chance to take a look at their partner’s workplace. The new colleagues were also there, which immediately provided a great opportunity to get to know each other a little better in an informal setting.

Activities for the children

The children were well taken care of too. There was a large bouncy castle with a slide, and it was a big success. The children had a great time playing on it. The older children entertained themselves inside with darts and table tennis.

The youngest ones spent time playing on the play mat with some toys, but every now and then they also went exploring, with sticks and green plants especially catching their attention.

Delicious food, enjoyable conversations and ice cream!

Of course, the food could not be missing. There was top quality meat on the BBQ, and there was also plenty of choice for colleagues who eat vegan. While enjoying some meat, a baguette and a drink, everyone had a great time chatting. To finish things off, there was ice cream!

A successful BBQ

In short: it was another successful BBQ! With delicious food, ice cream, a bouncy castle full of enthusiastic children, teenagers playing darts, babies playing and colleagues and partners enjoying each other’s company, it was a lovely afternoon and evening! We are already looking forward to the next edition!
