Last Friday, Shock Media was all about speed, competition, and unforgettable fun! With an adrenaline rush, we went go-karting during our long-awaited staff party. The evening was filled with exciting races, delicious food, and of course, lots of fun.
The evening started with a group karting session, giving everyone the chance to warm up and get familiar with the track and karts. The engines roared loudly as we prepared for the race ahead. The sense of competition slowly but surely began to bubble up in all of us, as everyone was determined to achieve the fastest time.
After the warm-up round, it was time to get serious: the qualifying rounds. With sharp focus and our feet on the gas, we entered these challenging rounds. Tires squealed, karts drifted through the corners, and daring overtakes took place. It was clear that everyone was determined to secure a spot in the final.
The moment we had all been waiting for: the final! The tension was palpable as the finalists prepared for the last and decisive round of the evening. The green light flashed and the racers sped off around the track. With every lap, the crowd grew louder and the competition fiercer. Everyone gave it their all to cross the finish line as the winner.
No race is complete without an award ceremony. After an exciting battle on the circuit, it was time to honor the winners. In third place was Erik, our speed devil from Haarle. Second place went to Mike, normally seen on a mountain bike, but now incredibly skillful in a kart. And last but not least, in first place was Aaron, the undisputed champion of the evening.[/caption]
After all that competitive racing, we all deserved some relaxation and good food. Luckily, after the award ceremony, an indoor barbecue was on the agenda. As the smell of grilled meat filled the room, beers, spirits, and other refreshing drinks were served. The atmosphere was relaxed and cheerful, and it was a great opportunity to socialize and share stories about the thrilling race. This went on until the late hours.
