Last weekend it was time again for our annual summer barbecue at Shock Media. The weather (for a change) was on our side, the atmosphere was relaxed, and everyone was looking forward to a fun day together.
Our grill masters JJ (Jaap-Jan) and Laurens had prepared everything thoroughly, with an extensive menu full of juicy burgers, perfectly grilled steaks, and surprisingly tasty vegetarian options. The crispy salads and sauces completed the meal and gave the barbecue an extra flavorful touch.
There was plenty to do besides eating. An enthusiastic game of soccer provided some sporty action, while others relaxed with a drink and good conversations. There was also lots of entertainment for the kids. From tag to hide and seek, there wasn’t a game that wasn’t played. But the highlight for the little ones was definitely the sidewalk chalk. By the evening, the entire driveway was covered with colorful creations. From flowers to self-portraits—the kids really let their creativity run wild. Some of them were so enthusiastic that they were almost unrecognizable because of all the chalk marks on their clothes and faces!
It was an afternoon where everyone could take a break from work and get to know each other better in an informal setting. The relaxed atmosphere and the good mix of food and activities made this barbecue another successful edition of the annual summer barbecue!
In short, it was a great day and we’re already looking forward to the next edition. Thanks to everyone who was there for a fun and well-organized day!
