Maastricht UMC+
7,500 employees and 5,000 students make Maastricht UMC+ a leading organization. However, communicating effectively and clearly in such a large organization is a challenge. Betawerk developed an award-winning online service model for joint online communication. Behind the main site and over 100 departmental websites lies an intelligent and future-oriented ecosystem. Technology and content are reusable, ensuring quality while keeping costs manageable. Departments and partners can easily join in and benefit. Dozens of editors work on communication from the same philosophy, supported by tools and guidance.
ZonMw
ZonMw plays a central role in promoting quality and innovation within healthcare in the Netherlands. Each year, it funds more than 250 million euros in research projects and innovation programs, working closely with national and international partners from academia, healthcare, and policy sectors towards sustainable and responsible healthcare and prevention. The core of our assignment was to develop a corporate website and multisite that simplify the grant process. In other words: create a platform where users can clearly find the available funding opportunities, understand the criteria they need to meet, register, and gain insight into ongoing research projects.
SKA Observatory
SKAO is one of the largest science projects in the world. In the coming years, the largest linked radio telescope in the world will be built to search for the origins of the universe. Betawerk won the international tender to develop the website for this project. Together with the SKAO communications team, we worked closely for over a year on the new website. The SKAO headquarters are located near Manchester (UK), but staff are spread all over the world. In total, around 100 people are involved with the website, many of whom form the international editorial team.
