VROOAM
VROOAM is the shared webshop platform for automotive parts wholesalers in the Benelux. For its members, everything revolves around speed, availability, and reliability: customers must be able to search and order without delay, and rely on up-to-date information from integrated ERP systems and data suppliers. The infrastructure behind the platform is therefore not just technology, but a business-critical foundation.
In 2022, VROOAM migrated its webshop platform to Shock Media. This was a deliberate choice: we were not looking for a standard hosting provider or a faceless hyperscaler, but a technical partner who could actively contribute to performance, stability, monitoring, and growth. During the testing phase, it quickly became clear that the new environment better matched our requirements. After the migration, we immediately saw results in production: lower latency, faster response times, and significantly fewer performance spikes during peak moments.

The collaboration has since been further expanded. In 2025, the VROOAM platform was migrated once again, this time to a fully redesigned Private Cloud environment on modern (DDR5) hardware. This transition was carefully prepared, tested, and executed within a limited maintenance window. The actual downtime for end users was limited to approximately thirty seconds, while the environment immediately showed noticeably improved performance afterwards.

The environment is continuously monitored, improvements are backed by data, and when questions arise, the team does not just respond but actively contributes ideas. This makes the collaboration efficient and frictionless.
