Technical Security Engineer
As a Technical Security Engineer, you will become part of a young and growing team of security specialists within a challenging Managed Linux hosting environment. Together with your colleagues, you safeguard networks, systems, and data using our XDR/SIEM solutions, while also contributing to the development of internal security tooling. When necessary, you conduct thorough investigations and act decisively during incidents. In addition, you quickly recognize trends and actively help further develop our security solutions.

What will you do?
As a Technical Security Engineer, you will work closely with the Security team to technically secure Shock Media and its customers. Your daily responsibilities include:
- Being at the frontline of securing our networks, systems, and services;
- Working in an environment where you are constantly challenged by external parties attempting to gain access to our systems;
- Continuously monitoring our network and systems using advanced tooling, assessing security alerts, and ensuring appropriate actions are taken;
- Using your analytical mindset to identify trends and further enhance our detection & response solutions;
- Staying up to date with technological developments and proactively implementing new security solutions;
- Contributing to the preventive and proactive identification and remediation of vulnerabilities;
- Thinking like a Red Teamer to optimize your work within the Blue Team;
- Responding quickly and effectively to incidents and ensuring proper handling and follow-up;
- Maintaining close contact with our Security & Compliance team to continuously meet both our own and our customers’ requirements.
